Young Filmmakers Academy

Summer is the best time for kids to try something new. Techni CAL Media invites children ages 10 - 13 to apply for the latest Young Filmmakers Academy. Students will learn the aspects of film production and set design in classroom-based settings. Students are placed in teams to write, film, edit, light, and design sets. After the writing, filming, and editing, students will premiere their film project to the public. The Young Filmmakers Academy runs June 13 - August 17. Children accepted into this new and exciting summer program will be the first cohort leading the way for many summers.

LIGHTS

Lights are the peanut butter to the camera's jelly. The perfect film needs both.

CAMERA

The camera is an important piece of filmmaking. The camera's angle determines what your viewer sees and feels.

ACTION

Action is when you and your team create new worlds and share them with your friends and family.

Upon acceptance into the Young Filmmakers Academy, Techni CAL Media requires a Parent/Guardian release and consent form for each minor attending the summer program.
